Fitting this Thursday June 9th
Hi all!
It's about time to start up the new Russell Dance season! This Thursday, June 9th, @4:30 we will have a fitting and a parent's meeting in the RMS cafeteria. We have a lot to cover so we will not have an actual practice. Anyone wanting to resale Pom tops and warm ups, please bring them with you or send them with someone so we know what we need to order from Rachel. I will post the price list. I believe it's half of what you paid. Also, if you haven't turned your physicals in, you need to bring them and the $60 start up fee with you on Thursday.
Dates to remember:
Practices on Thursdays 3:30-5:00
June 18 Competition hip hop choreography
June 23,30 Football Pom choreography
July 16, 23,30 Saturday morning track practices 9-11:00am

2016-2017 RUSSELL MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE TEAM
Congratulations to the new 2016–2017 Russell Middle School Dance Teams!
What a great tryout we had! Every person who came tried their hardest and looked great. Anyone who did not make the team, I strongly encourage to keep dancing this year and come back for tryouts next year. I was impressed with everyone and appreciated their hard work and enthusiasm.
DANCING DEVILS- This team is responsible for performing at football and some basketball games, parades and pep rallies. We will practice once a week. You will learn a pom dance, cadence and a hip-hop/jazz routine.
DANCING QUEENS- This team is responsible for performing at football and basketball games, parades, pep rallies and two regional competitions. We will practice twice a week. In addition to the routines you will learn with the spirit team, you will also learn a competition pom, hip-hop and jazz routine. *Alternates are to practice with the competitive team through the summer. During this time I will evaluate them to see if they are ready to step onto the competition team.
